Aldar Announces Dh1.75 Billion Mixed-Use Project in Expo City Dubai

Abu Dhabi’s Aldar has announced that it will build a mixed-use project in Expo City for Dubai. Only a few days ago, Dubai unveiled a new master plan for Expo City, enhancing its offerings as a potential full-scale mixed-use destination. Now, Dh1.75 billion is being developed.

This project is an alliance with Expo City Dubai.

Six buildings will make up the Aldar project, which will serve as a “core element” of a new masterplan. These will be next to the Dubai Exhibition Centre, which is slated to undergo an expansion worth Dh10 billion by 2031, bringing its total exhibition space from 58,000 square meters to 180,000 square meters. As a result, the area would have its largest indoor exhibition and events venue.

Due to the Aldar announcement, Expo City is now accessible to other developers, similar to how Dubai South is being developed. This confirms Expo City and Dubai South as the city’s new growth corridors.

The Aldar Expo City project will include a total of 103,000 square meters of gross floor area—a combination of residential, office, and retail spaces. Once finished, it will be in charge of the asset management of the.

Aldar has already opened two residential communities in Dubai in addition to agreements for office and commercial space. The developer based in Abu Dhabi also declared that it would construct a landmark office complex on Shaikh Zayed Road.
