Dubai ranks among the top 10 most prosperous cities globally.

According to the Resonance World's Best Cities Report, Dubai stands as one of the top 10 cities globally in terms of livability, lovability, and prosperity. It surpasses cities like San Francisco, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Washington, Istanbul, Vienna, Toronto, Boston, Melbourne, Zurich, Sydney, and many others in offering a better living, working, and thriving environment.

In the hierarchy of cities' importance, Paris, New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Dubai, San Francisco, Barcelona, Amsterdam, and Seoul are ranked accordingly, with London occupying the top spot.

Various factors contribute to these rankings, including walkability, iconic landmarks, recreational spaces, airport accessibility, cultural attractions, nightlife, culinary experiences, shopping options, educational opportunities, human capital, the presence of Fortune 500 Global Companies, the thriving startup ecosystem, and more, all encapsulated within the key indices of livability, lovability, and prosperity.

Dubai's reputation for breaking world records, exemplified by remarkable developments like Palm Jumeirah and the iconic Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, plays a significant role in its global appeal.

The city earns its place as the 8th in the Attractions subcategory, boasting a plethora of attractions such as malls, aquariums, indoor ski resorts, captivating fountains, fantasy theme parks, and family-friendly resorts inspired by Hollywood, Bollywood, Marvel, and Lego.

Among regional cities, Riyadh ranks 28th, Doha 36th, Kuwait 58th, and Muscat 89th. Abu Dhabi, on the other hand, is the second-highest ranked city in the Arab world and holds the 25th position worldwide.

In the post-pandemic era, cities are reevaluating their desirability criteria for residents, workers, and visitors, with an emphasis on lessons learned during lockdowns and the importance of outdoor spaces. Chris Fair, president and CEO of Resonance Consultancy, highlighted the evolving perspectives shaping our urban centers and the priorities of their citizens.
