Dubai’s A.R.M. Holding launches new real estate arm, HUNA
A.R.M. Holding, the lead partner of Art Dubai, closed the 16th edition of the fair that took place from March 1st – 5th 2023 at Madinat Jumeirah, by announcing the launch of its premium real estate brand, HUNA. A culturally rich developer, HUNA will carefully curate and combine celebrated designers, creators, and spaces for the discerning clientele so they can experience a truly bespoke lifestyle. Partnering for the third time with the globally renowned fair, A.R.M. Holding also announced the renewal of its commitment to support the platform for an additional five years.
Introducing the brand of HUNA, Mohammad Saeed Al Shehhi, CEO of A.R.M. explained that art and culture is at the heart of the HUNA’s identity. It is designed to create a community for designers and creators and it will host a series of activations where members will enjoy exclusive experiences, including monthly talks on contemporary culture featuring leading global speakers, unique dining moments, and quarterly exhibitions showcasing rotating outdoor sculptures by local and international artists.
Scheduled to open doors in the last quarter of 2023, HUNA will redefine Dubai’s neighborhoods by creating authentic urban communities which radiate warmth, open-mindedness and sociability.
Over the course of the five days, A.R.M. Holding showcased its hospitality at their VIP Majlis Lounge that highlighted key pieces from its private art collection. As the first corporate patron of the Dubai Collection, the first institutional art collection in the emirate held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, the collection documents the history of the city and narrate its cultural identity. Every year, new pieces are acquired to grow the collection and a percentage of that is dedicated to emerging artists aligned with the company’s philosophy to grow the art and culture scene within the UAE.
Mohammad Saeed Al Shehhi, CEO A.R.M. Holding said, “We are proud to have been a part of Art Dubai 2023 and to have contributed to the cultural enrichment of the region. We look forward to continuing to support and promote the arts and culture scene in the future.”
The VIP Majlis Lounge also hosted a series of engaging panels, talks and mixers daily. The robust programming included Modern talks, imagined by the curators of Art Dubai Modern, Collector talks, a series of conversations with collectors that play key roles in nurturing and driving the development of art scenes across the Global South (and beyond) and supporting the redistribution of cultural centers across the world and Art Dubai talks that presented an expanded programme with an exciting array of sessions focusing on the emerging trends in the art world.
In addition to giving impetus to the arts and culture scene in the region, encouraging and empowering the youth is another important pillar of A.R.M. Holding’s philosophy. The Children’s Programme brings together artists and designers to closely collaborate with local schools through bespoke workshops. The Programme provides UAE based school children with opportunities to grow and develop their interest and understanding of the arts by interacting with a roster of international artists and familiarising them with a wide range of art and design practices.
This year’s edition of the A.R.M. Holding Children’s Programme featured Swedish artist Jacob Dahlgren who encouraged children from ages 5-17 years to creatively and abstractly think about the environment that surrounds them. Using everyday craft materials and scrap fabrics, the children were made to imagine and collage designs that will later be sewn and transformed into flags.
The renewal of its commitment to supporting Art Dubai has further fortified A.R.M. Holding’s position in showcasing their dedication towards highlighting the importance of developing the art and culture ecosystem of the region.
